Envizion, Inc., a subsidiary of RareJob, Inc. (hereinafter, “RareJob”) which utilizes data related to human resource to develop global talents, and, Z-kai Inc. (hereinafter “Z-kai”) announced that the scope of online English conversation lessons offered in the English courses of correspondence education service at Z-kai will be expanded to include 5th and 6th grade elementary school students and 1st to 3rd grade junior high school students.
Background of the provision of services
The new ministry’s curriculum guidelines have been fully implemented to Japanese education system, and foreign languages (English) have been converted into subjects in 5th and 6th grade elementary school from fiscal year 2020. In fiscal year 2021, classes will be also held at the junior high school level in accordance with the new ministry’s curriculum guidelines, and the importance of comprehensively developing and strengthening English four skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) is increasing. Furthermore, the “GIGA School Initiative” promoted by the Ministry of Education is expected to promote individually optimized learning by improving the ICT environment, and it is anticipated that the need for learning in the on-line environment will increase. In March 2017, we launched an online English conversation lesson for those who attended “Z-kai Asteria English Course, and in April 2020, for the 6th graders of “Elementary School Course”. The scope of this course will recently be expanded significantly to tens of thousands of students.
Envizion, Inc. started as a joint venture in April last year with its parent company, RareJob (CEO: Gaku Nakamura), and Zoshinkai Holdings Inc. (CEO: Takaaki Fujii; hereinafter “Z-kai Group”), the holding company of Z-kai. We have been working together to provide English four skills services in the educational market.
By jointly developing and providing products that leverage the strengths of both Envizion, Inc., which has outstanding know-how and track records in online English conversation lessons for children, students and individual schools, and Z-kai, which has expertise in high-quality learning materials and learning guidance, we will accelerate our business toward realizing the mission of Envizion, Inc. which is to create a generation who can speak English naturally, through the provision of this service that nurtures English skills that will be needed in the future.
