We are pleased to announce that RareJob, Inc. (hereafter “RareJob”), which utilizes data related human resource to develop global talents, has decided to make an additional investment in Thai online English conversation operator Globish Academia(Thailand)Company Limited (hereafter “Globish”).

Background of Additional Investment

RareJob has adopted “Chances for everyone, everywhere.” as it’s Group Vision, and is developing its business with the aim of “Building a platform for people to play active roles globally.” In addition, we have positioned the global expansion of our business as one of our key initiatives, and are expanding our alliances with global EdTech players.
In June 2019, RareJob invested in Globish. We have been exploring possibilities for business collaboration to expand our business in the Asian market. Since then, Globish has grown steadily, and we believe the company is likely to grow in the Thai English-language educational market. Accordingly, we have decided to make an additional investment in Globish.

Collaboration with Globish Centered on PROGOS

With the additional investment, we agreed to fully strengthen collaboration in the businesses of both companies. As a specific initiative, we will aim to sell PROGOS, an English-language speaking test that utilizes AI provided by RareJob, and RareJob Eikaiwa to Globish customers in the Thai market.

This initiative is one of the initiatives aimed at achieving 1 million examinees per year for PROGOS in the announcement of the spin-off of a corporate business on March 12, 2021. At the same time, it is positioned as a step toward global expansion centered on PROGOS. Going forward, we will continue to expand our global business while strengthening collaboration in global markets, which is one of the pillars of our growth strategy. As a leading EdTech company, we will aim to grow into a globally competitive company.
